1. Acceptance

This website is operated by Reginel Consulting. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

2. The content here is not advice

Nothing on this website constitutes professional, financial, tax, legal, investment or employment advice, and nothing on it creates a client relationship. The guidance we publish is general, written for a broad audience, and cannot account for your circumstances.

An advisory relationship begins only when we have agreed an engagement in writing, signed by both parties. Until then, please do not act or refrain from acting on anything here without taking advice on your own facts.

3. The tax calculator

The calculator is provided free and is intended as an indicative guide only. Specifically:

• It applies the statutory rates and reliefs in force for the tax year shown on screen. Tax law changes, sometimes retrospectively, and the calculator may not reflect the most recent change.
• It cannot account for reliefs, exemptions, allowances or elections that depend on facts it does not ask you for.
• Its results are not a tax computation, not a filing, and not a substitute for advice. They must not be submitted to any tax authority.

We accept no liability for any decision taken on the basis of a calculator result. If the amount matters, ask us to compute it properly.

4. Training library and published materials

Training videos and materials are provided for general education. Certificates we issue attest to competency demonstrated in our own assessment; they are not a professional qualification and do not confer membership of any chartered body. Where a programme carries accredited recognition, the accrediting body is named on that programme.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this site (text, design, code, graphics, methodologies and the calculator) belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright. You may view it, and print or download extracts for your own internal business use.

You may not, without our written permission:

• republish, redistribute or commercially exploit any of it;
• present it as your own work or remove attribution;
• use automated means to scrape or harvest it, including for training machine learning models; or
• copy the calculator’s logic into another product.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site for any unlawful purpose;
• submit false, misleading or another person’s details through our forms;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its servers, or any connected system;
• introduce malware, or interfere with the availability of the site for others; or
• use the site to send unsolicited commercial communications.

7. Third-party links and embeds

We link to regulators, professional bodies and funding institutions for your convenience and embed video from YouTube. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Their inclusion is not an endorsement, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it without notice. We are not liable if the site is unavailable at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, we exclude all implied conditions and warranties relating to this website to the fullest extent permitted by law, and we will not be liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, anticipated saving, or any indirect or consequential loss arising out of your use of this website or reliance on its content.

Liability arising out of a consulting engagement is governed by the engagement letter for that engagement, not by these terms.

10. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, and our use of cookies in our Cookie Notice.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The version published here at the time you use the site is the version that applies.

12. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have exclusive jurisdiction.
